Mobility and Access Access to the church presents no problems. We will do everything we can to make your visit easy and comfortable. There is reasonable car parking in Wooler within easy distance of St Mary's Church.

To travel to Wooler, you can either drive, take a bus, or take a train to a nearby station and then use a local taxi or bus to reach Wooler. By Train: The closest train station to Wooler is Berwick-upon-Tweed, on the East Coast mainline. Alnmouth station is another option, but it's further away. You can then take a local bus or taxi from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Wooler. By Car: Wooler is accessible by car, you should find sufficient parking throughout the town and only a relatively short walk from our concert venue, St Mary's Church. Supporting Wooler Arts Making a donation Running a voluntary arts organisation is financially very challenging. Currently we receive no public funding, but have to rely on trusts, small grant applications, individual donations and box office income. Being a Registered Charity brings benefits such as Gift Aid, but it is the generosity of individuals that has been so helpful over the past five years, particularly with regard to the Summer Concerts, our most expensive activity. As we look to the future, we hope that support will be forthcoming in a number of different ways. Summer Concerts Series

"Our series of Summer Concerts is an international series that runs from May to June. Other concerts happen during the course of the year, most recently with Royal Northern Sinfonia coming in October, January and April, a pattern that continues in 2025-26. In addition there are other concerts and recitals that take place in St Mary’s Church. Over an entire season in St Mary’s Church, we aim to bring the best, the most exciting and interesting music that is as rewarding as would be found in more prestigious venues and festivals."
