About Wooler Arts
Established in 2020
Established in 2020, Wooler Arts has quickly shown itself to be an organisation that is of benefit to the market town of Wooler, Glendale and the wider region.
We put on exhibitions, art classes and workshops, classical and folk music concerts, recitals and workshops, community music events, workshops for children, workshops for traditional crafts and skills, and talks by visiting guests.
People are able to experience and participate in a range of different art forms and to explore new outlets for their personal creativity.
Community and landscape
Lives are enriched by engaging with the arts, whether it's being actively involved or by attending events. People enjoy a better sense of well-being through the arts and feel a greater sense of pride and citizenship of their community, and of the outstanding landscape in which we live. This is true for today and for future generations.

We are actively looking for more local people to get involed with our future activities
Get involved!
We’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in getting involved with helping us to plan and deliver creative activities in Wooler and the surrounding area. Whether you’re a local artist/musician/craftsperson who might run workshops or talks, or whether you’re a local person who would be interested in volunteering to help steward events – we’d really love for you to contact us!

Wooler Arts has a duty of care to safeguard from harm all children, young people and vulnerable adults with whom it interacts. We strongly believe that these people have the right to be treated fairly, justly, and have the right to freedom from abuse and harm.
Our safeguarding policy details the organisational procedures and best practice as applicable to all Wooler Arts personnel. This includes employees, volunteers, those who work on a freelance basis, and members of the Wooler Arts Steering Group. It ensures that all staff and volunteers accept responsibility for the safeguarding of people in their care. All suspicions and allegations of abuse and poor practice will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
